Bruce B. in Milwaukee, WI contacted us because he noticed his ceiling was damp and starting to bulge. We showed up to give him a free estimate and decided that a roof replacement with new decking was needed. 

We started by tearing everything off the roof, then rebuilt the decking with CDX Plywood. The next step was to install Ice & Water and Underlayment before putting on the shingles. We also cut out a new ridge vent to ensure the home stays properly ventilated and added chimney flashing.

This is a before photo of a chimney cap on a ranch style home in Milwaukee, WI. The homeowner saw a water spot on the ceiling in her entryway and didn't know where it was coming from.

She called Klaus Roofing Systems by Buck Buckley to investigate, we determined that it was an easy fix and the best solution was to re-caulk the chimney cap with clear TryPolymer Sealant. This homeowner is now happy knowing that the leak is gone and wasn't a major issue. 

This owner noticed a few shingles missing after seeing some leaks after some hard rains inside after just moving into their duplex. Water can cause damage to the roof deck as well as the inside of the house, so they found us on Home Advisor to come out for an inspection. 

After investigating, we could see that the last repair on this 10-year-old roof just added a layer of IKO shingles on top of the last layer instead of getting to the root of the problem. The shingles were sliding down because whoever installed them, did so into plank sheathing with gaps in it, so the nails aren’t grasping the roof deck or plywood, which causes shingles to come loose. There was also no Ice & Water protection installed underneath the shingles. 

There was a bump on the second story south side of the house, so we removed existing shingles, used IKO Gold Shield Ice & Water around the entire area above the bump on the exposed wood, taped all seams with seam tape, and used ring shank nails so they won’t pull up in the future. After re-shingling the area with IKO Dynasty Lifetime Shingles, we installed a new aluminum drip edge to avoid future leads. 

Our communication was swift and detailed, fixing their lead roof in just a couple of hours. 

Although the owner wanted to fix the leak coming from this home's chimney flashing, he needed us to come out because he couldn't make it up the roof anymore. This leak was causing water stains in the ceiling, which could lead to further damaged insulation in the attic space, as well as mold. As you can tell from the image shown, there were already some indicators of moisture entering the home, like moss growing between damaged shingles. 

This home is a great example of repairs that could have been solved with IKO Goldshield Ice & Water around the chimney. We would have also replaced all flashing around the chimney and any surrounding shingles.

This home needed repairs to a leaky sunroom light that had water dripping into its sunroom. As you can see from the before image, the repairs made previously were less than effective, causing the homeowners anxiety every time it rained or snowed.

We were able to create a custom skylight flashing and also replaced all the rotted wood underneath a few rows of shingles. We used IKO Ice and Water to stop the leaking, CDX plywood to replace the rotted wood caused by the previous leaks, and a new kick-out flashing that would run the water away from sitting about the skylights.

Ryan brought Nick and Ralph on the job to assess the situation since we have never really seen anything like this- we wanted to make sure the estimate was accurate, and that all the work needed to be done could be accomplished.

This homeowner knew his roof was in bad shape and wanted us to come out for an estimate. He noticed an inconsistent leak, with consistent damage. This leak caused the drywall to crack, stain, and even fall apart. After our inspection, it seemed like the roof didn't have any Ice and Water Shield to protect his roof from water. No wonder he had the ceiling repaired twice!

We did a partial replacement on the entire front of the house, making sure to install IKO Goldshield Ice and Water protector to completely waterproof his roof.

This sunporch was causing a leak that damaged the inside of the home and rotting the floor joints! The ceiling was rotting away in their office where they worked, affecting their day-to-day life.

This could have been due to standing snow- they had a rolled roofing material on the flat roof that's not designed to see any foot traffic. It could have also been improperly installed.

To solve their problems, we replaced the rolled roofing with EPDM Rubber, replaced all the rotted wood floorboards with CDX plywood, and sistered in new floor joints.

This roof had a leak coming in from their front window. water was getting in through the rotted roof decking and lack of IKO Goldsheild Ice and Water protector. This was not only causing damage to the shingles and rotting roof deck but was also causing damage to the inside of the home. This could have been due to a lack of proper underlayment and poorly pitched gutters.

In order to make this issue no longer a problem, we replaced the entire roof, all rotted roof decking and soft spots, and replaced their gutters with brand new ones. Check out the journey of a roof replacement!

This EPDM flat roof section was wearing down to the point where there was a hole, and the homeowners didn't want this to start leaking and cause even further damage. 

This could have been due to poor workmanship years ago, but we were able to patch up their questionable area on their EPDM roof using special EPDM rubber as soon as the weather was appropriate. 

On this project, we did a partial roof replacement. The roof was beyond its service life, and there were areas with shingles and flashing in bad condition. 

There were leaks coming in, causing drywall damage to the interior of the home. This caused headaches and anxiety every time it rained or snow melted. 

Since the homeowner couldn't get financed to do the whole project, we accommodated them by replacing a section at a time so the leaks could stop in the area we replaced. Even though we weren't able to replace the entire roof, we will always do everything we can to take less off of our customers' plates. Our project manager even ran to Lowes to pick up tarps for the homeowner so we could tarp some sections of the roof that they couldn't afford to replace at the time.

There were two layers of shingles and cedar shake on their decking, which was mostly rotted. Their original shingles were Cambridge shingles so we were able to find a good shingle to match that at a lower cost. We also made sure to use IKO Ice and Water protector over the entire section we worked on for some extra protection and longevity against any future leaks. 

This homeowner was looking to upgrade their kitchen and bath vents. A vent fan will draw out moisture and odors from the bathroom, improving air quality, while kitchen vents are commonly flipped on when homeowners start to fry or sauté foods that may smoke or smell. In reality, you should turn on the exhaust fan anytime you cook on the stovetop. Not only was it a good idea to upgrade them, but many building codes also now require it for new construction or when major bathroom remodeling is underway.

This home had a lot of leaks due to severe ice damming over the winter, as well as poor workmanship from previous patches and installations. Just take a look at how this chimney flashing is curling up, just inviting water to come in!

This roof was only 11 years old and due to improper installation; entire sections of the roof were falling off!  The house had major leaks inside and had to have ceilings re-done as well as wood replaced.  We installed a brand new, 50 YEAR WARRANTY roof!  This warranty also covers the labor-you can't go wrong!

This winter, Deborah had an electrical mast that was pulled out by an issue with the electrical pole on the street. This put a large hole in her roof, and damaged her soffits, fascia, gutter, and siding. The holes were so big that squirrels were able to find their way into her attic. After having an electrician out to replace the mast, we came out to re-deck and reroof that corner of her roof, as well as disassemble and reassemble her soffit and fascia. While we were out there, we ran a brand-new gutter along the back of her roof. Everything is looking good as new and with a cage and a little peanut butter, her attic should be squirrel free in no time.

Miss. Barbara had an EPDM roof blow off after a bad windstorm. When our Roofing Specialist arrived, he noticed how bad the situation was and arranged for a tarp to be placed on the damaged area. Barbara was so happy to see that we were willing to go above and beyond for her and not leave her with an exposed roof or make her tarp it herself before the replacement was taken care of. She was very relieved that we did a great job tarping so that no water would go into the house, because we had a few days of rain before we could replace the roof. The installation went very smooth because Barbara had done her best to take great care of her current roof. Mark called us out to add a ridge vent to his house. Upon inspection of his roof and attic, we found that we could not install a ridge vent, as there was no ridge on the house, and instead, the peak of the roof was flat and roofed over with rubber. We instead ran a calculation for the size of his roof and how many box vents it would need and installed those instead, bringing the exhaust ventilation up to code. We also noticed that he had little to no eave ventilation, so we installed new soffit vents along all his eaves to keep the attic as cool as possible and bring the intake ventilation up to code. Mark now has a much more efficient attic space that will keep ice dams from forming in the winter, and keep his A/C bills down in the summer.

This chimney flashing was in terrible shape and had been covered in tar as a band-aid for a much deeper problem. After removing the tar and the aluminum flashing hidden underneath, we found there was no ice & water protector underneath, and no step flashing installed, meaning water being driven from the side could easily find its way underneath the flashing. We installed new Sealoron XT ice & water protector, step flashing, and a new aluminum counterflashing to properly protect the chimney from wind driven rains.

After another company replaced this homeowner's roof, it was discovered that they did not install step flashing along the side of her dormer. They also did not install new flashing on her skylights. All of this was causing leaking all over the house. We came out and corrected the work that was done. We started by adding new step flashing, adjusting the siding so it covered the flashing, and installing 2 new skylights. At the end of the project, the customer was very happy with the work we did.

Patrick called us out to take a look at his ventilation. After reviewing his roof, we found he had approximately 10% of what he needed to have a properly ventilated attic. With that in mind, we added a ridge vent on one section of the attic, and box vents in another (where a ridge vent could not be installed). He now has a properly ventilated attic, which will lead to less ice damming issues in the winter, and less heat transfer in the summer.

The owners of this house called us out to take a look at the house they had recently moved into. The roof was brand new, but whoever replaced the roof did not replace one of the most crucial points: a complex metal valley. Often details like this are skipped over because installers want to save time or don't have the ability to deal with complex metal bends like this. We came and replaced the entire metal section with new metal. The leak was so bad that it had rotted out the wood beneath it, so we made sure to replace that with fresh CDX plywood. At the end of the day, it's details like this that separate a "good" roof from a great one.

Some older roofs, especially in Milwaukee, have multiple layers of shingles laid over cedar roofing. This project had 3 layers of asphalt shingles on top of cedar shingles. Layering shingles like this can lead to all sorts of problems like shingles falling off, leaks, and more. We always tear the roof down to the wood, as we believe this is the only way you can ensure the roof will do its job properly.

On this project, we also put on brand new deck boards across the whole roof. Cedar shingles need to be attached to spaced-out deck boards to let them breathe, meaning the roof will be covered in big holes after the cedar is removed. Putting on new deck boards after removing cedar is essential if you want the shingles to stay on your roof.

This job went extremely well. We were able to deliver materials and use our new company truck, named Buckey. Once materials got on site, we started working on replacing the roof. The homeowner was excited to see the new roof go on so efficiently. After the project was done, we cleaned up and packed up Buckey for the next project ahead. 

Paul had a leak in his rubber chimney flashing. The water had made its way past the rubber, 2 layers of insulation board, the deck boards and into his house. We had a repair tech in the area with rubber materials on hand, so we were able to get his leak fixed just 2 days after signing with us. A quick turnaround for an urgent problem.

There's no roof too small for Klaus! Susan called us out to take care of her shed which was in desperate need of new shingles. Half the shingles were missing, and the other half were deteriorated beyond their usefulness. We came in and put a Klaus on their house. At the end of the project, Susan was happy we gave new life to her aging shed.

This owner called us reporting that she had a few leaks in her 10-year-old roof.  Upon our inspection, we found that the roof was in pretty good shape.  The leaks were actually happening in between the gutters and roof due to debris and blockage in the gutters.  We installed brand new Raindrop Pro Gutter Guards (after cleaning out the gutters of course) and this solved the entire problem.

Nancy is seeking corrective measures for issues arising from a recent installation that included roof and gutter replacement. The gutter system exhibits problems such as separated end caps, poorly installed downspouts, and missing drainage components, requiring redesign and replacement. The roof, inspected via drone due to no attic access, shows raised drip edges causing shingle displacement, necessitating remediation along with chimney re-flashing and addressing flashing issues at the 2nd-floor outside corner. Challenges include communication following the original contract holder's demise, while the next steps involve preparing a comprehensive quote, and collaborating with the client post-severance from the original contractor. In response to a request for ridge vent repair on a roof, our team engaged with Ammar, a client with a roof less than 10 years old. Ammar expressed a need to reroute bath vents currently connected to the ridge vent. Ammar and his wife Sara, initially discussed rerouting bath vents with our team. Subsequently, he engaged us to investigate a fire damage claim. Ammar had been denied by his insurance company, prompting a visit to assess the situation. Upon meeting with Amar, we diligently inspected the roof for heat damage. Despite being unable to identify heat damage on the shingles, Ammar had tarped a section of the roof that required replacement. Our commitment to client satisfaction led us to schedule a follow-up visit on Tuesday morning to further assess the situation and determine the extent of any damage. The customer, a homeowner of 17 years residing in a duplex in the upper unit, discovered the issue on the northwest side inside a closet. Further investigation revealed a roofing composition of cedar shakes beneath asphalt shingles.

A pivotal meeting unfolded with the homeowner. This encounter was made possible through a referral from a friend of the homeowner, a satisfied client from a previous garage roof project undertaken the previous summer. The call for repair uncovered a multitude of issues in the attic and with the rubber and asphalt roofing. In response to the aging roof on Jim's residence, a detailed plan has been developed for a full roof and gutter replacement. The existing roof, which is over 30 years old, consists of two layers of asphalt over cedar on the main house and two layers of asphalt on the front porch. A precautionary 40 square feet of additional tear-off has been included to accommodate any unforeseen circumstances, such as an extra layer, or to provide a buffer for potential cost overruns. During the meeting, specific repair needs were identified, including fixing a hole in a 4' wooden soffit panel located on the front right of the garage overhead door.
